FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know before booking a tour on my web site

01. What does an expert tourist guide do?

According to the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations, a tourist guide is “a person who guides visitors in the language of their choice and interprets the cultural and natural heritage of an area, which person normally possesses an area-specific qualification usually issued and/or recognised by the appropriate authority”.

02. Who does an expert tourist guide work for?

An expert tourist guide is freelance, and can decide to collaborate with public authorities, travel agencies, tour operators, cultural associations or private customers.

03. What is the difference between private and group tours?

Private tours are fully customized. They are ideal for families or groups of friends (up to 14 pax) who intend to have a tourist guide at their exclusive disposal. These tours have a flat rate, which is regardless of the number of participants (for example, 150 € per tour).
Group tours are shared with other travelers and rates are applied on a personal basis (for example, 19 € per person).

04. Can I phone you to book a tour?

I am available to give information to customers by phone. However, to make tour reservations you should communicate via email, considering the time zone differences and the commitments of a tourist guide. Email conversation is the most effective way to meet customer needs. In addition, having all communications in writing also ensures that there is a clear record of traveler requests.

05. I want a private tour. What do I need to do?

Choose and book your perfect private tour in 3 easy steps:
1) browse through the available tours on the website;
2) click on the webpage of the tour you want to book;
3) send me a request, filling in the contact form or writing an email to “info@romeandyou.org“.
I will get back to you within 24 hours (if not sooner!) to confirm the availability and to specify the details of tour. The booking confirmation will take place with a subsequent summary email.

06. I want enjoy a group tour. What do I need to do?

07. How can I pay the tour?

08. What is the "skip the line" service and how can I enjoy it?

In order to use this service, you must purchase entrance tickets in advance, paying the relative cost via paypal at the time of booking, after receiving the confirmation of availability by email.

09. Can I add another person to my booking?

Sure, you can! In this case, however, you should contact me, as the maximum number of people for the tour may have been reached.

10. Can I make changes to a reservation?

Yes, you can, with at least 48 hours’ notice.
